The current Zip Shopify payments app will be deactivated on July 31, 2022, and replaced with our new Shopify payments app. The new app delivers an improved Zip merchant experience with all the added benefits of Shopify’s new payment platform.
Updating to the new app is required for all current Zip merchants in order to continue accepting Zip payments. We know your time is valuable which is why we made the process super easy. We recommend updating to the new app as soon as you can to avoid any disruption to service.
How to migrate to the new app:
Step 1: Install the new Zip app by going here (if you onboarded after January 31st, 2022 you might need your merchant ID handy, which you can locate in the Zip merchant portal).
Step 2: Deactivate the old integration by going here.

Will updating the checkout affect my store’s theme?
No, the payment gateway is separate from your store’s theme, so no changes need to be made other than installing the new Zip payments app in the Alternative Payments section of your Shopify dashboard
Will updating the checkout change or remove the Zip widget?
No, the Zip widget on your store’s product page and mini-cart will be unaffected when updating to the new Zip app.
However, this might be a good time to check to make sure your Zip widget is current. Please reference our developer documentation to confirm your store is using the latest version.
