Did you know that you can use the Zip App to place an in-store order with Walmart?
However, because Walmart requires you use the Walmart app for in-store purchases, there are a few additional steps to take to place your Zip in-store order:
- Open the Zip app and make a Zip In-store purchase request for the amount you plan on spending (tap "Pay In-store" > enter Purchase Request amount > select "Pay with Apple/Google Wallet" > return to Zip app "In-store" tab).
- Add the Zip virtual card details in the Walmart Pay section of the Walmart app
- Once the Zip virtual card has been added to your Walmart app, select it as your payment method and scan the QR code at the register to complete the transaction.
- For all future orders, you will need to create a new In-store purchase request in the Zip app, and repeat steps 1-3.
Important Note: Walmart sometimes employs different risk protocols for someone purchasing digital goods or gift cards. When purchasing these items, we suggest contacting Walmart support in advance to ensure they'll accept a "buy now, pay later app" as purchase for these. Otherwise, you may have to use another form of payment to complete an order with those goods. We apologize for any inconvenience.
