We are sad to hear that you wish to deactivate your Zip account but we’re happy to help!
You now have the option to deactivate and reactivate your Zip account directly from the Zip App. The deactivating process means that you will not be able to make any new purchases with Zip. Your account details and order history will still be available for you to view in the Zip app.

Deactivate Your Zip Account
To deactivate your account, complete the following deactivation steps:
- Log into your Zip mobile app on your phone.
- At the bottom, select the Account tab.
- Scroll down to the About Zip section.
- Select Close my account.
- Select Deactivate and you will receive the confirmation screen shown below.

If you are not receiving the screens shown above, please make sure you have the latest version of the Zip App downloaded.
Re-open Your Zip Account
Welcome back to Zip! To reactivate your Zip account, complete the following steps:
- Log into your Zip mobile app on your phone.
- On the home screen you will see the screen shown below. Select Reactivate your account.
- If you’re approved to use the Zip app, you will then receive a confirmation message and can resume making purchases on the Zip App.
If you wish to have your Zip account permanently deleted, you will need to submit your request to Zip Support here. Please keep in mind that we must hang on to specific personal data to ensure Zip is compliant with banking laws and regulations. Thanks for understanding!
