The only types of fees that customers may be charged using the Zip app are late fees, as provided in our Terms of Service and are subject to future amendments. Note that certain merchants may assess their own fees for users who use Zip Checkout on their sites.
Purchases made using Zip Checkout are subject to a $1.00 platform fee per installment (a total of $4.00 per order). Depending on the merchant and total cost of the order, this fee may be greater.
To be compliant with all states, we have updated our policy on late fees. Because of this, if your order is late, you may incur an initial late fee of $5, $7 or $10 depending on your state of residence.
There may be a cap on the amount in late fee(s) that we assess. Please see the our Terms of Service for more information.
If your order is assessed a late fee, please know that we can look to reverse/refund those fees for you. Requests to reverse a late fee(s) can be considered pursuant to current Zip fee waiver policies. If you have any additional questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
