Zip assesses each order individually at the time of purchase. Our automated system considers several factors to determine whether you are approved to place an order.
When you place an order using Zip, your 1st installment (25%) is owed at the time of purchase. Once your 1st installment is complete, your order will then be confirmed in Zip’s system. If you do not have funds available to cover your 1st installment, your order will not be approved.
Once you've completed an order and your Zip installment plan is created in our system, you'll be able to see the unique order number in the Orders section of your Zip app. You can also find all order numbers after signing into the Zip Customer Portal. Take a look at this article to learn more.
Also, keep in mind that you cannot go over your Estimated Spending Power*.
If your Virtual Card’s Purchase Request is too high, and above your Zip App Estimated Spending Power*, the purchase will not be approved by Zip. Take a look at this article to learn more.
*Spending power is the estimated amount you have left to spend on Zip app orders. Your spending power is not guaranteed and is impacted by a number of factors, such as your payment behavior and how long you've used Zip. Your spending power is not an open line of credit. Each transaction is separately reviewed for approval.
