Zip considers several factors as part of the automated application assessment process. This includes, but is not limited to:
A soft credit check is run when you apply to Zip. Your credit report may demonstrate your repayment history with other lenders (e.g. retail credit cards, revolving credit cards, etc.) This helps the automated assessment process in determining whether you can comfortably meet your Zip repayment obligations. The assessment process also takes into account your repayment history on all installment plans with Zip, and other external factors in the assessment.

If your Zip application is declined/unsuccessful, you may be eligible to re-apply if your circumstances change.
