When you sign up, Zip requires your name, address\*, email, date of birth, a US mobile number, and a debit card for sign up. For more information about the kind of information we collect and how it is used and protected, see our [privacy policy](https://zip.co/us/privacy-policy).

Instead of having a traditional username and password, Zip requires a mobile phone number and text message verification. Upon first sign-in, you can then [set your login PIN and/or enable Facial ID](/HkmlTxo3le).

You can also manage your account using the [Zip Customer Portal](https://customer.us.zip.co/en-US/login) by logging in with either your mobile number or email address.
